ESSaver in Data Center Energy Management
Energy is now the fastest growing expense in the data center, and you need a monitorig solution that is capable to deliver precision, without any risks or big effort.
ESSaver PUE is this solution. We use a light weight agent for monitoring. Why? Because ONLY WITH THE USE OF AN AGENT your are able to accurately monitor what's going on inside your servers. No fuss, no exuses. ONLY monitoring right on the server does this. Agentless is just thinking you have it right!
The agent we use has been tested on all Windows server version, in many different configurations.
A customer can choose weather he wants to auto-upload the monitored data, push it via a scheduler to a directory or pull from the server, for instance via active directory.This enables AND guarantees maximum safety, so the agent will not intervene in any way with normal operations of the servers.

- Receive actual data on energy consumption and utilization by device, rack, make, model, etc.
- Improve Power Utilization Efficiency (PUE), Data Center Efficiency/Data Center Infrastructure Efficiency (DCE/DCIE).
- Calculate DCiE, PUE and FLOPS for an application/process (let your customer know how much power his apps are consuming!)
- Consolidate: Because ESSaver PUE is the only monitor that monitors the processes, you can detect which servers are used at which time and hence consolidate.
Report PUE, DCiE and FLOPS for every server, every application/process
Understand energy consumption, utilization, costs, savings and carbon emissions by device, location, cost center, division and time of day.
Versions are available for Windows (X86, X64, Win Serv 2003, Win Serv 2008, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista).
An Andriod client for mobile devices such as phones and tablets is available for Android 2.2 and Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
A linux version is available, for the main distributions, such as Ubuntu, Radhat and SuSe.
ESSaver PUE monitors for every process on a server, OR only a number of desired processes, their energy consumption. The following data is monitored:
1) Every important server characteristic (Make, #CPU's, #memory, #fan, memorytype, #nic, nic type, etcetera
2) CPU % (per core, per cpu)
3) Memory (mb)
4) Fan use
5) NIC throughput/energy usage
6) a number of additional parameters.
These parameters are monitored day-by-day and this produces a vector of data and once uploaded, this enables datawarehousing on this data.
How to get it?
